Why Clients Book Genio for Their Conference
01
One crew, one contact, one bill
When the AV team, the staging crew, the F&B coordinator, and the registration desk all report to Genio, there is no gap between them. A speaker arriving 20 minutes late does not need three separate calls to reorganise.
Bullets:
- Sound, lighting, and staging owned and operated by Genio
- Same crew from load-in to packdown
- Live broadcast and in-room AV run from the same control point
02
20 years of running conferences in Malaysia
Since 2004, Genio has managed conferences across banking, oil and gas, telecom, property, and government sectors. We have run events at KLCC, hotels across Bukit Bintang and Bangsar, and convention centres in Penang and JB. Malaysia hosted 393 international business events in 2025 alone. We have been working in this market since before it became a growth story.
Bullets:
- GLC and public-sector procurement compliance experience
- JAKIM-certified F&B documentation as standard for government clients
- Active coverage: KL, Penang, JB, Melaka, Kota Kinabalu
- We run the rehearsal the day before, not the morning of
How a Conference Gets Planned and Run
Four stages. The fifth is you walking into a conference that is already set up and working.
Delegate count, session format, speaker list, hybrid or physical, halal F&B requirements, and budget. We also ask about VIP protocol and any compliance or documentation requirements at this stage, not the week before.
Full session schedule, stage layout, AV specification, registration flow, and itemised costs. This is a working document, not a brochure. You mark it up, we revise it.
Venue liaison, equipment scheduling, speaker briefing packs, catering confirmation, and permit applications handled by one project lead. Clients typically have one weekly check-in call, not daily emails from five different vendors.
